I finally visited Toronto in 2025 — and wow, it was my first time. My first impression? Busy!
The city is crowded, the traffic is intense, and everything feels like it’s moving fast. I enjoyed the trip, but honestly, I think I’ll go back again… maybe after a few years 😄
Because I wanted to see as much as possible, I bought the Toronto CityPASS. It includes several top attractions at a discounted price, and I wanted to find out if it was really worth the money.
Here’s exactly what I experienced — and whether I think you should buy it.
CN Tower – A One-Time Must-Do
My first stop was the CN Tower.
With the CityPASS, you get access to two viewing levels (not the very top). Even without the highest level, the view was incredible. I was able to see the whole city from above, take great photos, and enjoy the experience.
For me, this is a one-time attraction. Nice to try, fun to see, but I don’t feel like I need to go again.
Verdict: worth it once — CityPASS was helpful here.
City Cruises Toronto – A Beautiful View From the Water
On the same day, I went on the City Cruises Toronto boat tour.
Important note:
The address on the site takes you to a hotel area, but the actual gathering point is next to the ships. Go straight to the dock and look for the ship name mentioned on your ticket.
Once I got on board — I loved it.
The views from the water were beautiful, I took amazing pictures, and it was relaxing to see Toronto from another angle.
Verdict: absolutely worth it.
Royal Ontario Museum – Interesting, But Familiar
The next day, I visited the Royal Ontario Museum.
Because I’ve already visited a similar museum in Ottawa, it didn’t feel very new to me. However, this one is bigger, with much more to explore.
If you love history, culture, and artifacts, you’ll enjoy it — but it depends on your interests.
Verdict: good, but not my personal favorite.
Ripley’s Aquarium – My Favorite Stop
Later the same day, I went to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, and honestly — I loved it.
You can:
✔️ walk under the aquarium tunnel
✔️ see sharks up close
✔️ take amazing photos with colorful fish
✔️ even gently touch some species on the top level
It felt interactive, fun, and perfect for adults and kids.
Verdict: 100% worth it.
Casa Loma – A Full-Day Adventure
The next day I visited Casa Loma, and it was one of the best parts of the trip.
Huge castle. Beautiful rooms. Secret passages. Amazing views.
You definitely need around 5 hours to enjoy everything properly.
I originally thought about going to the Toronto Zoo, but it was almost two hours away by car, so I skipped it. No regrets — Casa Loma was a great choice.
Verdict: totally worth it — plan enough time.
So… Is the Toronto CityPASS Worth It?
For me — yes, it was worth it.
Here’s why:
- I visited multiple major attractions.
- I saved money compared to buying each ticket separately.
- Everything was already organized, so planning was easier.
However, I think CityPASS is best if:
✔️ you’re visiting for 2–4 days
✔️ you actually plan to see at least 3–4 attractions
✔️ you don’t mind busy tourist spots
If you only want to visit one or two places, it might be cheaper to just buy single tickets.
Final Thoughts
Toronto was a fun experience, even though it felt crowded and busy. I enjoyed exploring, especially:
⭐ Ripley’s Aquarium
⭐ City Cruises
⭐ Casa Loma
⭐ CN Tower (once is enough!)
Would I buy CityPASS again?
If it’s your first time in Toronto — yes, I recommend it.
